autunno-in-barbagia-2023

Thirty-five years of music, dedication, commitment, innovation and care for the local area. This is how the work of the cultural association l’Intermezzo continues, which since 1988 with the Cala Gonone Jazz Festival has brought jazz in all its forms to the symbolic places of the small Dorgali village. The 2022 edition is scheduled from Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 July with a novelty: the setting up of the stage for the evening concerts in the Jazz Village at the Cala Gonone Aquarium. Each evening opens with a lesson/concert aimed at young students, while afterwards – from 7.00 pm – it will be possible to visit the Aquarium and the photographic exhibition curated by Giulio Capobianco “No flash please” (open until 15 August). The festival will welcome, among others, Gavino Murgia, Antonio Ciacca, Sebastiano Dessanay, John Patitucci, Yotan Silberstein, Zoe Pia, Ares Tavolazzi, Leonardo Caligiuri and Christian Capiozzo. The artistic and technical director Giuseppe Giordano underlined the strengthening of relations with partners, the collaboration with the Aquarium and other local realities, will give spectators the opportunity to visit the exhibition halls with an integrated ticket before the start of the shows . “This will be a way to invite people to reflect on some important aspects of environmental protection, biodiversity and respect for the territory”, he said, also speaking of the consumption of local products and dishes: “There will, in fact, be a food area set up thanks to the support of Coldiretti, the Cantina di Dorgali, all local actors who will be present with stands of freshly prepared dishes, offering people a refreshment corner between one exhibition and another”.
